About This Event

Want to bring natural and foraged materials into your work and wondering where to start? In this textile-based presentation, Susan Furneaux will provide the confidence needed to collect, clean, prepare and apply nontraditional local and foraged materials to your work. Materials used in the class will include, but are limited to, moose hair, tanned animal hide, feathers, bird bones, leaves, grass, bark, stones, beach glass, etc. During the workshop presentation you will create a small piece in embroidery, weave, or knit and apply the concepts presented in the workshop within your skill set and design aesthetic. This class is for all skill levels.
